I have flashed my phone with different firmware versions a number of times. Contacts and calendar entries are not a problem because they’re backed up in my Google account. However, each time that I flashed my phone, I lost all my SMS. I searched for an application that i can use to easily backup my SMS and this is when I found SMS Backup And Restore.
The application is very easy to use and gives me exactly what I need; to backup my SMS. I just wanted to backup my SMS and nothing else. I didn’t want an application that packs a lot of features that it becomes hard to use. So, what exactly can you do with SMS Backup And Restore? Well aside from you being able to manually backup your SMS, you can also set it to schedule it to backup your SMS automatically. You have an option to backup every n number of minutes, hours, or days. I set mine to backup every week (7 days). You can also choose to keep all the backup files created or to automatically delete them for a maximum of 10 days. The application also has a nifty feature of allowing you to read the contents of the backup file without the need to import. The interface is also very simple and easy to use. These are just the tip of the iceberg for what this application can do. The best thing that I like about this application, aside from all those different features, is that this application is available for free.
