Our Trip To Maribago Bluewater Sumilon Island Resort

Last weekend, my friends and I decided to go to Maribago Bluewater Sumilon Island Resort. Since we were already in Oslob, we also planned on watching the whale sharks and going to Tumalog falls. Oslob is lucky enough to have all these spots in a single location.

Since there were only 4 of us, we decided to bring my car and drive there instead of taking public transportation. It was a wise decision because the resort where we stayed for the night is about 15 minutes away from the whale watching site, Maribago Bluewater Sumilon Resort's port, as well as Tumalog falls. Another group of my friends decided to go there the next day and they had to pay Php100 per head going from the resort to the whale watching site. Add another Php100 to go from the whale watching site to Tumalog falls. And yet another Php100 to go back to the resort. And..... Another Php100 to go to Sumilon's port. That does not include the fare from Cebu to/from Oslob.

We stayed at the Maxvir resort. All of there rooms were booked except the small nipa hut. To be honest, I really liked the hut. It was cool and cozy. I liked it better than their cementer, and air conditioned, rooms. We're already used to these kind of setting in the city, why not stay at a hut for a change? Here's how the room looked like:

There's a set of table and chairs just outside the room for you to dine

From their port in Oslob, we landed at Sumilon's public sand bar. If you are not paying to get into Bluewater resort and you want to use their restrooms, you need to pay Php20.

Sumilon's beach is just breathtaking.

Sumilon's other amenities include the pool, cottages, kayaks, marine sanctuary, etc.

Sadly, we were not able to go trekking because we were already tired. We'll come back soon.
